  1. The majority of “characters” in this book are to some degree dropouts, alcoholics, prostitutes frequent customers less likely or pedophiles, with few exceptions. Rating: 5.1

  2. Waldo Pepper says:

A poorly written and a selection of subjects chronically doubtful. First, I read this author and I have trouble believing he earns his living as a writer. Rating: 5.2

  3. I wholeheartedly intend to buy this book new and read it FOR JERRY. A few years ago, there was a wonderful man who had dedicated his life to helping one then up to 850 infortunate cripples, orphans and down and out children. In short this man was a Saint (and should be cononized as one in my humble opinion. That great (and huge man) was Father Ray Brennen of Pattaya Beach Thailand, founder of the world famous Pattaya Orphanage. For all of Fr Ray`s good deeds there was a truly scurrilous Soi 33 sleezeball who hoping to salvage a failed kinky S & M Club, dropped some wild prevarications for monetary gain (30 pieces of silver?) to shameless London tabloids who dragged Fr Ray`s holy name thru the mud in 2005. Thanks to Jerry Hopkins, a knight in candid armor, a bio was written that told of Fr Ray`s extraordinary life and sacrifices, and exposed in detail, the sleazeball who falsely accused and possibly led to the untimely death of Fr Ray Brennen of the Order of Redemptionists in Pattaya. Please buy this book to honor an equally great man, Jerry Hopkins, who had the will & fortitude to take on and destroy the rumor mongers and hypocrites of this world that will do anything to disparage the fine Kingdom or those that attempted to degrade the name of this truly great men! Thank you Jerry !!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. Great read and held my interest with stories. I am traveling in Thailand and was in reading some real accounts of the country instead of guides and accounts with real interest is what I have. I would recommend this book highly. Rating: 5.5

  5. excellent book. I lived in Thailand for 18 months and met several of the same type characters that Jerry Hopkins writes about. I thoroughly enjoyed his book and would recommend it for anyone to read
