I learned a lot about Chinese culture in this novel. It is well written and a good page turner – difficult to put down and held my expectations, he resumed. The Chinese culture is the most in this novel, represented although some Thai culture as well. An excellent read and I added to my library one day to discover new! Rating: 5.5
They say that the writer is a successful millionaire living in Bangkok. This book is a must for Thai culture and how it is open, like the immigrants who work hard and persevere. It also reflects the Chinese work ethic. Rating: 5.5
This novel is about a Chinese immigration to Thailand after the Second World War, and is a good book for those interested in Thailand to read. Therefore, I read it first. But letters from Thailand is readable and accessible to anyone who has been known and all immigrants or an immigrant. You do not need is all over Thailand to enjoy this book wissen.Letters Thailand to easily read and tells a beautiful story about immigration, family, sex, childhood, motherhood and fatherhoood is universal. It deserves a readership far wider than previously hat.Ich need this book for classes baccalaureate U.S. several years ago. It was one of the best received books that I asked the students to read. key emphasis on piety U Tan Suang protagonist, mothers in the class found most – despite some very unpleasant characteristics, the mother he never saw again at the center of his thoughts remained. (I guess that means he would make a great Mother’s Day gift). Letters from Thailand is a translation of the original Thai. But the quality is excellent translation, and it reads very smoothly. Feel free to pick it up! Rating: 5.5
