Held in mid-July 09, Exercise Northstar VII simulates a major terrorist assault in Singapore similar to the coordinated attacks across Mumbai, India in November 2008. In the most complex and realistic Northstar scenario to date, a total of 15 “terrorists”, who are spilt into six assault teams, launched multiple “attacks” in ten locations, comprising “soft” targets like hotels and shopping malls.
